I picked this stamp up from one of Kimmie's Rubber Party's where she goes through a bunch of stamps she had in her Krafty Kave. How adorable are these kids?! And I had the perfect background for them to match the cave boy's outfit .
To create my background I cut two pieces of from kraft cardstock. I inked them up with my Cowprint Stencil from My Favorite Things with Walnut Stain Distress Oxide. Love the look of this!  Then I started to layer everything.
My image is stamped on Neenah White Solar Cardstcok with Memento Black Tuxedo Ink. I colored them up with my copic markers which are listed out down below. For a finishing touch, I added the small banner for the sentiment and these gorgeous flowers from 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store.

Schoolhouse & Stencils - Neat & Tangled

Happy Hello and welcome to Friday! I have a great back to school card to share with you using products from Neat & Tangled that is available at 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store. I also have a quick process video to share so be sure to keep reading!

This set is super cute and I have a few plans for it ! I colored up the fun bear with his backpack using my copic markers and cut it out with my Scan n Cut. I like to leave a little bit of a white border around him so that is what I did.

For my background, I'm using the Modern Triangle Stencil also from Neat & Tangled. This is such a great design! I wanted to use some school colors but didn't want to use a ton of different inks so I'm using a little trick I picked up from Jennifer McQuire. I'm using the NEW oxide inks and just used 3 colors. Where two of the meet ... I blend them together and it creates a whole new color! So I got 5 colors out of using just 3 ink pads.
I added my sentiment from the Schoolhouse to a piece of cardstock I cut from Neenah White Solar cardstock using the Fishtail Die and adhered that to card with foam tape.  For a finishing touch - I added some new Starry Night Sequins using Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive and the jewel picker. Very handy tool!

My Favorite Things - Big Thanks!

Happy Hello again! I have TWO cards to share with you today using a fun die from My Favorite Things. I was able to use the positive and the negative piece to create two cards.

I started out with creating my die cute words. Using some Bristol Smooth Cardstock, I inked it up with a variety of distress inks in rainbow order. I didn't use yellow because it was so close to the orange color and I  wanted to make sure I had enough room to get the array of colors. Once I had all the inks down, I sprinkled it with water for the drops effect.
I then used my Thanks die from My Favorite Things and cut out my words. Since all of it was so pretty I decided to make two cards using the positive and negative pieces. For this first card, I lined up the negative piece onto white cardstock and used that as a guideline to glue my letters down. Then carefully removed the negative so all I had left was my letters. Doesn't it look fabulous?!
I added my sentiment underneath using the Smitten Kitten Set and started layering my card. I colored  up these two little kitties with my copic markers and cut out with my Scan n Cut. They are then added to my card with some foam squares. The finishing touch is adding some beautiful rainbow sequins from Lucy's Cards using Twinkle Lights - gorgeous set of sequins!

The second card using the negative piece I kept sort of simple. i trimmed it down and added foam tape around the letters. I then used a mix of sequins and jewels to create this shaker card from it.

Lawn Fawn - Hang In There!

Happy Hello again everyone! I hope you are enjoying your week! I wanted to share with you this adorable sloth card I made! Who knew sloths could be so cute?! I have to admit .. this is the first sloth I've colored. I planned on entering this in the  Simon Says Stamp Lawn Fawn Plaid challenge, but I was a little late in posting .. oh well... still fun to create!

My image from the Lawn Fawn set Hang In There is stamped in Memento Black Tuxedo Ink onto Neenah White Cardstock. I colored my cute little sloth with my copics markers and cut it out with my Scan n Cut machine. Then, I took a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and added a few clouds using my Cloud stencil from My Favorite Things and some Salty Ocean distress ink. I used to have such a hard time with regular distress inks but I have found using them on Bristol smooth really helps!

Using my stitched circle die from Jaded Blossom, I cut out a window for where my clouds will be peeking through. I started by attaching my sloth  cut out first with just a little adhesive on the end of the branch so I could line up where he'll be hanging. Then just started layering it up.

My sentiment banner is cut from my new Fishtail Sentiment die from My Favorite Things and stamped with Simon Says Stamp Lucky Ink. To put a finishing touch, I added some Nuvo Crystal drops Ivory SeaShell.

My Favorite Things - Smitten Kitten Sketch Challenge 341

Happy Hello again! Sharing this super cute card today using a new stamp I got from My Favorite Things. I'm also participating in the weekly sketch challenge #341.

I started by coloring up my little kitty with my copic markers and cutting it out with my Scan N Cut.

Unfortunately, I didn't have the right die to create the exact layout for the sketch so I improvised. I had an oval scallop die from Spellbinders that I used to cut out the shape from my patterned paper. I then trimmed it down to fit my card. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out to match the sketch!

Go Time ! - The Greeting Farm

Happy Hello! Thrilled to be sharing my card as Guest DT at the Greeting Farm again today!! Their stamps are just so cute ! This one is using Mega-Mini Go Time set which was a new release last month. I'm also playing along with their shaker challenge for the month of July. Be sure to visit their blog  for more details!

For this card today, I colored up my images with copic markers and cut them out with my Scan n Cut.
To create my card, I cut out a window with my Window Frame Die from Pretty Pink Posh. I used the same die to cut out a window with my craft foam - I used two sheets to make sure there was enough room. Then, I added my acetate to the card and my beads.
The sentiment I stamped BEFORE adding everything to the card haha! Once I did have the card adhered together I added my cut out colored images to the front and a couple drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops. Simple and sweet!

Fancy Florals- Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

Today's card I want to share with you is using Fancy Florals & Sincere Thanks from Kraftin Kimmie Stamps. This is such a versatile stamp set. I decided to focus on the daisies today.

I stamped out 5 daisies from the Fancy Florals set on Neenah White Solar Cardstock with Memento Black Tuxedo Ink. I then colored each one a different color. They are so pretty like this ! I used my Scan n Cut Machine to cut them out so I can add them as a border on my card.

The background of my card I cut out using the Striped Sentiment Die from My Favorite Things and attached it to my black cardstock base. I stamped and layered my sentiment on the card and arranged my flowers around it. I absolutely love how this turned out! Now for the real fun part ... .there will be a coloring video today for the daisies so be sure to check it out or visit my youtube channel!

Your Next Stamp - Parrot

Happy Hello and welcome to the weekend!  I've had my eye on these stamps for a while and finally got them out to play with! This card is using Parrots from Your Next Stamp. Super cute adorable images! I definitely see me using them more!

For my card, I tackled both the color challenge and the sketch challenge on the YNS blog. I thought the colors would look pretty cool on these parrots -- and it does! So I colored up my parrots with my copic markers and cut them out with my Scan n cut.
For my card, I stenciled in some clouds on a piece of white Bristol smooth cardstock and attached that to my base cardstock. This is going to be my background piece for the shaker. I cut out my window with a stitched circle die and also a frame from Blueprint 29 die for the stitched border. I also used the stitched circle to cut my window on two pieces of craft foam.
I added my acetate to the window and adhered all my pieces together with double sided tape. For my shaker I used a mix of sequins and jewels that I will have listed down below. My finishing touches were to add the sentiments and parrots. I'm pretty excited how the clouds and jewels look through the shaker window.

Easily A Moose'd Distress Card - Sugar Pea Designs

Happy Hello again! I have a fun summer card to share today for 7 Kids Your Crafting Supply Store and be sure to keep reading - I have a process video at the end!

I fell in love with this Moose set from Sugar Pea Designs! They are darling images and awesome sentiments to match.

I’m starting off by creating my scene. I have this fun die from Sugar Pea designs that will cut me a hill and tress and I like to cut them from a distressed piece of cardstock. So I’m taking Peeled Paint distress Oxide and applying it to my Bristol smooth cardstock. Oxides will blend well on almost anything but I have found they are even better on Bristol Smooth. I cut this piece about 4 ½” x 5 ½” and then will trim it down after I die cut my landscape. I then come in with Forest Moss distress ink and apply that over the top of the Peeled Paint. I really like the two-tone look it gives.

Next I take a small water bottle and spritz water down and dab it with a paper towel. I love doing this – its like magic right before your eyes !
Now I’m going to work on my sky. I’m using Spring Rain Cardstock from Papertrey Ink and Faded Jean Distress Oxide with my cloud stencil from My Favorite Things. This is such a cool effect with the tone-on-tone colors. So I just lay my stencil down and brush upwards with my blending tool. Then pick up my stencil and move it around. If it starts to look too streaky… I come back over it with small circles. My blending tool is pretty seasoned so it doesn’t leave those circle marks so I would just suggest to be careful if your sponge is brand new.

I use the Misti Tool to stamp out my 3 images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink which is a copic friendly ink and stamp them on Neenah White Cardstock. Once everything is stamped I’m going to color them with my copic markers. I’m coloring from darkest to lightest and then will go back over my images again in the same order because I like to add a lot of depth to my image. Neenah cardstock does seem to soak in color quite a bit but I have just really liked coloring with it lately versus the Express IT Cardstock I was using. I like to experiment with different papers just to see if there is something I find I like better.

I used the Sugar Pea Designs Tree Scape die to cut my hill and tree and to adhere my trees down I’m using my new favorite adhesive which is Nuvo Deluxe Adhesive . I love the small tip on these and it has a great hold. I’ve had problems in the past with small tips clogging on me but this was hardly ever does and it flows out so nicely. And if you happen to have excess seep through .. it dries clear and you can’t even tell!

Just for a finishing touch, I’m adding some Ivory Shell Nuvo Crystal Drops.

Preview Day 4 - Monkey Business Kraftin Kimmie Stamps

Here we go to Preview Day 4 over at Kraftin Kimmie Stamps! I don't know if I could pick a favorite from this release because the awesomeness just keeps coming!! These monkeys are just hilarious and so fun to color up. I mean - look at them!! .... they are just so stinkin cute!!

Welcome Monkey Business! Two fantastic images and 4 super fun sentiments! You will definitely be seeing me use this set a few more times !

This monkey really does all the talking here with his fun facial expressions so why not just dig out some distress ink and make a fun matching background. And that is what I did!  Unfortunately, I was so caught up having fun making my background I forgot to write down which colors lol ... I would venture to guess Fossilized Amber and maybe ... Mowed Lawn? The best part ... color the shirt in maybe some pinks/purples and add some ribbon and it can be a girl! Because let's face it.... girls can be super goofy too!
